Cha is Brown Leaders and Artists Exist (BL&ME) first print publication. 27 artist-researchers from around the world responded to explore this evolving mode of cultural identification in relation to its representation and inclusion in arts and culture. Through its design, Cha tells many visual stories of identity, inclusion, discovery and the ever-growing need to acknowledge complex historical truths, their contemporary legacies and look towards reforming ideas of what is and is not visible. Cha is supported by: University of the Arts London’s Post-Grad Community, Research at Camberwell, Chelsea, Wimbledon Colleges of Arts at University of the Arts London, The Research Centre for Transnational Art, Identity, and Nation (TrAIN) Research Student Initiative Bursary, British Art Network, Tate and Paul Mellon Centre.
